Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground cables, pipes, and other utilities using locating equipment, GPS, maps, blueprints, and other available resources.
• Read and interpret utility maps, prints, drawings, and work orders.
• Document completed locates, site conditions, and utility information using tablets or paper records.
• Communicate with contractors, property owners, customers, and the public as needed.
• Follow 811 procedures, company policies, and all applicable safety requirements.
• Inspect and maintain locating equipment.
