Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in utility locating and related fields preferred.
• Knowledge of 811 regulations and One-Call systems is a plus.
• Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground facility locates per standards.
• Read maps, GIS records, and work orders to determine utility paths.
• Mark utilities using locating tools and equipment.
• Document locate activities with notes, photos, GPS data.
• Respond to routine tickets and high-priority projects.
• Communicate with contractors, homeowners, and internal teams.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Rotate on-call availability, including overnights and weekends.
• Report mismarks and safety hazards.
