Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Turret Punch Press Operator for a 1st shift. You will operate turret punch presses to punch holes and layout marks on metal sheets, following machine setting charts to produce parts that meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up punches and dies, inspecting parts with calipers and micrometers, maintaining accurate production counts, and keeping a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work operations sheets.
• Ability to set up and operate Turret Punch Press machine and input data into Traverse Manufacturing System.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Insert, align, and lock punches and dies in turret; position work-piece and set dimensions as per charts.
• Activate punch and repeat operation for each machine setting.
• Read blueprints and determine appropriate operations.
• Compute punch charts and punch holes in nonmetallic materials.
• Use gauges (calipers, micrometers, squares, height gauges) for quality checks and report issues.
• Maintain accurate counts on completed and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork.
