Job summary

AOC Metal Works is seeking a Turret Operator to set up, operate, and maintain a turret punch press, following blueprints to precisely cut metal parts and perform quality checks. You will work to meet production targets while adhering to safety protocols in a teamwork-oriented shop environment.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma, basic math and blueprint-reading skills, and a minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

Blueprint reading, basic reading/writing/arithmetic skills required.
Must understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers and other shop drawing aids.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Must be safety-conscious and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

Set-up, adjust and prepare turret according to blueprint specifications and tooling.
Work with engineering to ensure safe, high-quality production; provide feedback on set-ups.
De-burr parts as needed and package finished products.
Ensure PPE and safety devices are used; perform set-up inspections and first piece inspections.
Monitor equipment wear and request maintenance as required.
Perform weekly machine maintenance and help with tooling/lean improvements.
