Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Builder to efficiently assemble and manually plate individual trusses according to shop drawings within the time frame set by the supervisor and in line with quality standards for roofs and floors.

Responsibilities include reading setup sheets, positioning plates, operating the gantry, verifying lumber and truss accuracy, maintaining equipment, and training Builder Associates to ensure high crew efficiency.

Qualifications

• Read and understand set-up sheets.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to read or able to learn to read a set up sheet.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret set-up sheets.
• Position plates accurately.
• Operate gantry.
• Verify lumber against sheets.
• Verify truss set up accuracy.
• Perform daily operator maintenance.
• Maintain 100% crew efficiency.
• Mark trusses when required.
• Train Builder Associates.
