Job summary

Morgan Truck Body in Janesville, WI seeks an Experienced Automotive Painter – 1st Shift to transform raw builds into road-ready trucks with high-quality finishes. You’ll prep surfaces, apply coatings, and ensure finishes meet exact specs, while maintaining safety and efficiency on the plant floor.

Ideal candidates have auto body experience, can pass the paint test, and are comfortable using standard paint tools.

Qualifications

• Must have auto body experience and be able to pass the paint test for cab and full body paint.
• Able to read tape measures and apply measurements accurately.
• Comfortable with basic computer skills to support workflow and documentation.
• Familiar with common paint tools and their proper use.
• Read and interpret blueprints for special paint applications and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Paint full truck bodies and chassis, cab, trailer, or tractor with precision.
• Operate cup gun, pressure pot, plural system, and airless sprayer confidently.
• Apply varied colors and finishes to match customer specs.
• Read blueprints and work orders to ensure accurate prep and finish.
• Set up and perform maintenance on paint tools and equipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
