Job summary

Command Robbinsville is seeking a Trimmer Operator to run industrial trimming equipment, measure and inspect books, and ensure products meet quality standards. You will review tickets, maintain production records, and uphold OSHA safety guidelines in a fast-paced bindery setting.

The role requires reliability, good time management, and clear communication with supervisors and peers. Weekend shifts may be required, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Trimmer Operator is preferred.
• Experience operating Muller Martini Merit, Zenith, and/or Orbit trimmers is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in a printing, bindery, book manufacturing, or finishing environment is preferred.
• Safety and quality minded.
• Should be able to work with minimal supervision and be an individual contributor.
• Must be reliable and consistently at work and on time.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Must have positive and effective communication with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial trimming equipment to ensure books are produced according to specifications and quality standards.
• Measure books and inspect finished products for quality issues, proper dimensions, and accurate trimming.
• Review job tickets, production specifications, and instructions before and during production.
• Keep accurate production records and ensure products meet established quality standards.
• Maintain safety and OSHA standards as well as a clean and professional work area.
• Communicate effectively with Supervision, Tech Support, Maintenance, and other associates.
• Set up and make basic adjustments to trimming equipment as needed.
• Monitor equipment for proper operation and report mechanical issues, jams, or other concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Check label and carton quality.
• Minimize material waste while maintaining required quality standards.
