Job summary

Tusk Molding in Leola, PA is seeking a dependable Trimmer to finish raw parts produced by ovens so the final product can be safely assembled and used by customers. The schedule runs 5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays, and workers flexible between 1st and 2nd shifts are valued.

You will follow work instructions, ensure paperwork is completed, maintain quality, operate power and hand trimming tools, align holes with jigs, keep the area organized, and communicate needs to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of all aspects related to parts through trimming department (entries, 90's, Atlas plates, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to perform assigned tasks.
• Complete daily production paperwork.
• Ensure quality by distinguishing acceptable vs. poor product and reducing errors.
• Safely operate power tools for precision cuts.
• Safely use hand trimming tools for precision cuts.
• Make precise hole alignment decisions with jigs.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of production/warehouse area.
• Inform Leadership when trimming scrap bins need replacement or if forklift operation is restricted.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The purpose of the Trimmer position is to ensure that all raw parts produced by the ovens are finished accurately to ensure that the final product can be safely assembled by and used by our customers.

Schedule

5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with occasional Fridays as production volumes demand

To support production demands during peak season, team members who are flexible between 1st and 2nd shift are highly valued.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions as assigned by Leadership and/or designee to do assigned job related tasks.
• Knows job role, duties, responsibilities and ensures daily production paperwork is completed.
• Ensures quality standards are met by differentiating between acceptable and poor product and reducing quality errors.
• Safely and efficiently use power tools to make precision cuts.
• Safely and efficiently use hand trimming tools to make precision cuts.
• Make precise hole alignment decisions with jigs needed.
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the production/warehouse area.
• Informs Leadership when trimming scrap bins need to be replaced, if unable to operate an industrial sit-down forklift.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or his/her designee.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Job knowledge of all aspects related to parts that come through the trimming department. This includes but is not limited to: Entries, 90’s, Atlas Plates, etc.

Working conditions

Plant duties will be performed both outside and in an indoor warehouse environment without air conditioning and with minimal heating.
