Job summary

Otto Construction, Inc. seeks a skilled finish carpenter to perform precise trim work on residential projects. You will measure, cut, install, and finish baseboards, crown molding, casing, and decorative millwork, ensuring perfect alignment and clean joins.

Candidates read drawings, use hand and power tools safely, and work independently or with the team to deliver high-quality results on time. A strong eye for detail and craftsmanship is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in trim carpentry or finish carpentry.
• Ability to read basic plans and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing trim materials.
• Ability to use carpentry hand and power tools safely.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and climb.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 5 years in custom millwork or high-end finish carpentry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, install, and finish interior and exterior trim components with accuracy and care.
• Work with baseboards, crown molding, casing, window and door trim, and decorative millwork.
• Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications to meet required standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete carpentry tasks.
• Inspect completed work for quality, alignment, and proper fit.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company procedures, safety guidelines, and jobsite requirements.
