Job summary

Mid Central Electric, a division of MPS, is seeking a Machine Operator to run the AEM Unicore UCM425 and support transformer core production. The role involves loading materials, monitoring operations, inspecting parts, and ensuring safety and quality on every cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the AEM Unicore UCM425 machine to produce transformer cores.
• Load electrical steel coils and other required materials.
• Monitor the machine during operation and make basic adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished components for quality and identify obvious defects.
• Follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting and notify supervisor of equipment issues.
• Perform routine daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Safely operate hoists and other material-handling equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.
