Job summary

MTS, an ITW company, seeks a Transducer Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. You will build and test strain gauge transducers, solder and wire components, and troubleshoot issues with engineering prints and processes.

Qualifications

• 2-year electronics degree or 4+ years hands-on experience.
• Experience with soldering, wiring, or small component assembly.
• Able to read engineering prints and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and test strain gauge transducers per prints and procedures.
• Perform soldering, wiring, and small to medium assembly.
• Troubleshoot issues related to design, materials, processes, and equipment.
• Reference and update transducer manufacturing records and follow process instructions.
• Assemble complex products with limited documentation and resolve layout issues.
• Recommend fixture design and process improvements for quality and efficiency.
• Cross-train across manufacturing disciplines and support calibration and prototype projects.
• Communicate progress, issues, and process changes with leads, engineers and peers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace using 5S principles.
