Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Tooling Maintenance Specialist to maximize production uptime through expert repair and optimization of tooling systems. You will apply precision machining skills to ensure tooling remains within exact tolerances, driving quality and efficiency across manufacturing lines.

In this role, you will perform complex repairs, interpret blueprints, and document actions in ERP/MRP systems, while adhering to safety protocols such as LOTO and crane operation requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in tool and die maintenance or repair.
• Advanced proficiency in manual machining, surface grinding, and blueprint reading.
• Troubleshooting metal stamping and progressive die issues.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and crane operation experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex repairs and preventive maintenance on progressive dies to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality output.
• Utilize advanced manual machining and surface grinding techniques to restore tooling to exact specifications.
• Analyze mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to improve tool performance.
• Interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Support fabrication of new tooling components while following strict safety standards including LOTO.
• Operate overhead cranes and heavy stamping press equipment safely to facilitate tool changes.
• Document maintenance activities in ERP/MRP systems for accurate historical data.
