Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Inspector of Tooling and Layout in the Louisville area. The role will require hands-on work with precision gauges, calibration, and collaboration with engineering for part evaluations.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed a bona fide Toolmaker apprenticeship or have 8 years of previous relevant work experience.
• Experience with Zeiss CMMs, Klingelnberg gear checkers, Marposs, Intra bench gauges, Mahr and Mitutoyo Perthometers.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand measurement characteristics.
• Knowledge of gauge maintenance and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to work on any assigned schedule and overtime.
• Read blueprints to determine measurement characteristics.
• Set up gauges and perform maintenance and calibration.
• Collaborate with Engineers on part Evaluations.
