Job summary

A to Z Machine Company in Appleton, WI is seeking a Tooling & Gaging Technician to support tooling, gaging, and shop-floor operations in a fast-paced CNC environment. This full-time, hands-on role keeps tooling organized and ready for machinists, contributing to smooth production.

You read blueprints, handle tooling teardown and assembly, and assist with maintenance while following 6S, ISO/quality, and safety procedures. HS diploma and manufacturing exp. desired; team-focused attitude expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred (1+ year ideal).
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on mindset.
• Ability to assemble and tear down tooling.
• Strong organization, prioritization & communication skills.
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, inspect, clean, and organize tooling and gaging.
• Check gages in and out for shop floor use.
• Tear down and assemble tooling as needed.
• Set up tooling and gaging lists for machinists.
• Keep tooling organized, labeled, and ready to go.
• Support machinists and production teams.
• Assist with tooling maintenance and troubleshooting (higher levels).
• Follow all 6S, ISO/quality, and safety procedures.
