Job summary

Rosenboom Machine & Tool in Sheldon, IA, is seeking a dedicated Tool Room Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts, tools, and fixtures. You will contribute to building and maintaining critical components with precision and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include setting up mills and lathes, measuring to tolerances, inspecting parts, and assembling tools and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Experience in machining, tool room, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong shop math skills including measurements, fractions, and tolerances.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Measure, mark, and machine metal parts to precise specifications and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts and verify dimensions using measuring tools.
• Assemble, fit, and repair tools, fixtures, and mechanical components.
