Job summary

Buck Knives Inc is seeking a skilled Machinist to produce high quality parts for prototyping, fixtures, or tooling. You will work with Haas CNC mills, manual mills or lathes, wire EDM, and surface grinders; using Mastercam and SolidWorks for drafting and programming.

Experience with tool steels, precision measurement, blueprint reading, and die maintenance is valued. Training offered for candidates meeting most qualifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work from sketches, specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers through BOMs (Build of Materials).
• MasterCam or equivalent drawing and programming a plus.
• Solidworks or equivalent experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run manual Mills, Lathes, Surface Grinders.
• Perform precision machining to tight tolerances on tooling, die components, and related parts.
• Diagnose and resolve machining, fit, or assembly issues through hands-on troubleshooting.
• Communicate effectively with engineering to advise on machinability of new components.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
