Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is seeking a Tool Tech Maker to join its aerospace precision machining and fabrication team.

This full-time, hourly role requires skilled manual and CNC tooling, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work from engineering drawings to produce high-precision components. You will operate CNC and manual machines, inspect tooling with micrometers and CMMs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years in a tool room or precision machining environment preferred.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD/CAM models.
• Ability to machine, assemble, and finish tooling to tight tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Blueprint interpretation from drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
• Machine, assemble, and finish tools using CNC/manual equipment.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce tooling.
• Inspect finished tooling with micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Diagnose wear or failure and perform repairs to production tooling.
• Plan machining sequences, setups, and methods for tooling.
• Participate in Kaizen and root-cause analysis for tooling reliability.
• Maintain records and communicate tooling changes to teams.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain 5S in the workspace.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as part of duties.
