Job summary

Chromalox, a leading provider of electrical thermal solutions, seeks a Tool and Die Machinist. You will set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, machining metal work pieces to exact specifications and tolerances.

The role involves reading blueprints, planning operations, and maintaining tooling and machines to TPM standards. The position requires ability to read technical drawings, use precise measuring devices, and work both independently and in teams to drive quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting dimensions.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes specification and determines tooling, applying knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics.
• Studies blueprint or layout to visualize machining and plan sequence of operations.
• Lifts and positions work pieces to holding devices using clamps, wrenches and aids.
• Reads blueprints or job orders for product specs, dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Sets up fixtures, starts machines, and feeds tools to work piece while monitoring operation.
• Observes machine operation and verifies conformance using gauges and CMMs.
• Performs routine maintenance on machines as scheduled for TPM.
