Job summary

Aerotek in West Chester, OH is seeking a Production Technician to operate TIG welding equipment and fabricate stainless steel and aluminum components in a manufacturing setting. The role requires setting up, operating, and maintaining welding equipment, reading blueprints and weld symbols, and ensuring all welds meet aesthetic, sanitary, and compliance standards with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong TIG welding proficiency on stainless steel and aluminum.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or field installation.
• Able to grind, polish, and finish welds to sanitary standards.
• Knowledge of tubing and fittings per specs.
• Willing to become ASME Section IX qualified.
• Detail-oriented with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate TIG welding to weld stainless steel and aluminum.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG equipment.
• Grind, polish, and finish welds to sanitary standards.
• Fit and tack components prior to welding.
• Interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Inspect welds and repair defects.
• Collaborate with team on projects.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.
• Identify tubing sizes and fittings.
• Complete projects on time.
