Job summary

Boyd Thermal by Eaton seeks a skilled Welder for the Lancaster, PA facility. The role involves setting up and operating a manual TIG welder to weld aluminum components, following blueprints and job orders with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience with measuring tools, reading blueprints, and the ability to work overtime when needed, as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical school preferred.
• 5+ years related experience preferred.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Ability to pass weld exams if required.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers and measuring tools.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Manual TIG welder per specifications.
• Weld aluminum components per blueprints and instructions.
• Follow weld instructions and complete projects per blueprints.
• Interpret job orders from manufacturing leadership.
• Perform tack-welding and join metal pieces as directed.
• Inspect finished work and record quality requirements.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with policies.
• Participate in cross-training and potential reassignment.
