Qualifications

• Welding certification.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of general shop tools and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and do general math.
• Ability to interpret and work from shop drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of metallurgy.
• Knowledge of welding techniques using 304 & 316 SS, including TIG and MIG.
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
• Clear and concise oral and written English language communication skills required, including proper grammar and e‑mail etiquette.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work under high pressure conditions and to successfully handle stressful situations efficiently, professionally and effectively.

Responsabilités

• Review blueprints prior to starting a project.
• Source the materials to be used in the project.
• Measure and cut materials to blueprint specifications.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
• Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Check finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Operate press brake, saws and other fabrication equipment.
• Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirement, following manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions calling for repairs.
• Conserve resources and minimize waste generation to the extent possible.
• Comply with safety and personal protective equipment policies.
• Meet project completion timelines and shipping schedules.
• Maintain a clean and efficient shop and production area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
