Job summary

ATI is seeking a hands-on grinder operator in North Carolina to join our precision manufacturing team. You will perform surface grinding with hand tools, inspect parts, and ensure conformity to specifications.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to quality standards, with on-site work and full-time hours. Prior 6–9 months of related experience is preferred, and you will work under supervision to resolve any issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with Allvac quality policy and ethics code.
• Use micrometers, gauges, and scale.
• Over 6 and up to 9 months experience in grinding or related work.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision surface grinding operations using hand grinders.
• Use portable grinders to remove defects and detect cracks with penetrant dye.
• Visually inspect materials for surface defects and mark for cut-off.
• Exercise identity by heat number or order number.
• Detect and report damaged material and refer matters to supervision.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations.
