Job summary

Artivion, Inc. in Austin is seeking a Component Processing Technician for Subassembly to inspect, test, and assemble heart valves. You will clean, package, and visually and dimensionally inspect components per specifications, using a microscope, calipers, and related equipment in a clean room environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and manufacturing experience, with familiarity in FDA/ISO practices. A structured process and competitive benefits are offered to qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in inspection or assembly or similar intricate hand work preferred.
• Experience working within FDA & ISO manufacturing practices preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office, internet, and email.
• Ability to read and understand detailed manufacturing instructions and drawings.
• Ability to use a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect components with a microscope and make pass/fail decisions.
• Perform in-process measurement using calipers, fixtures with digital readouts, or an electronic scale.
• Conduct and record visual, functional inspections, leak tests, proof tests, and peel tests.
• Work in a clean room environment to clean, package, and inspect products and components.
• Operate vacuum furnace, vent cover application, heat sealing, ultrasonic and press equipment per procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
