Monroechamber in Wausau, WI is seeking a skilled Sub Arc Welder to operate SAW equipment on large components. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, and delivering consistent weld quality in a safety-focused manufacturing environment.

You will inspect welds, follow procedures, and work both independently and as part of a team, with an emphasis on reliability, precision, and safe work practices. Wage is $24.00-$29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience preferred; SAW experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Operate submerged arc welding equipment to weld components and assemblies.
• Set up and adjust welding machines, wire, flux, and materials per job specs.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols; inspect welds for quality.
• Monitor weld quality and adjust parameters as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
