Job summary

ABSI Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Precision Strike Subject Matter Expert to support MARSOC TALSAM precision strike activities, including operator/instructor duties, development of TTPs, and training for operators and evaluators at Camp Lejeune.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, SOF experience with precision strike or unmanned systems, and the ability to obtain safety and 4x4 driver certifications. Travel to support exercises and field events is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, current enrollment, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous SOF or comparable operational experience with precision strike, loitering munitions, unmanned lethal systems, weapons employment, or closely related capabilities.
• Ability to achieve and maintain required MARSOC operator/evaluator qualifications on assigned Precision Strike systems.
• Demonstrated instructor, public-speaking, and briefing capability appropriate for experienced operators and officers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Range Safety Officer, Laser Safety Officer, and 4x4 driver certifications, as applicable.
• Maintain active U.S. TOP SECRET and NATO TOP SECRET clearance; eligible for TOP SECRET//SCI access when required.
• Maintain required MARSOC, USMC, USSOCOM, security, information assurance, and annual training requirements.
• Comply with contractor identification, ethics, security, privacy, nondisclosure, and non-personal-services requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IQT/MQT and other required training for Precision Strike operators, instructors, and evaluators.
• Prepare and present classroom, demonstration, and practical-application instruction and maintain course materials.
• Achieve and maintain operator/evaluator qualification and currency on assigned systems as required.
• Provide operator/SME support to exercises, assessments, demonstrations, development efforts, and TTP events.
• Support development, assessment, review, and refinement of Precision Strike concepts and training materials.
• Conduct and teach organizational-level maintenance, storage, and accountability of assigned systems.
• Provide technical assistance to MARSOC, USMC, and USSOCOM development and evaluation efforts.
• Coordinate with industry partners to shape refinement and spiral development.
• Provide SETA-level technical analysis, staff support, and briefings as required.
• Maintain safety, range, driver, security, and mission-specific certifications.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position and contract as assigned.

The Precision Strike Subject Matter Expert supports MARSOC TALSAM Precision Strike (TALSAM-G) activities involving Organic Precision Strike Systems and related unmanned lethal capabilities. The position provides operator, instructor, evaluator, technical, sustainment, development, TTP, and operational-support expertise to MARSOC and supported SOF organizations.

Precision Strike SMEs support urgently acquired and fielded systems, including GOPSS and micro-VTOL attack-drone capabilities, and contribute to MARSOC's development and integration of precision-strike capabilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Deliver IQT/MQT and other required training for Precision Strike operators, instructors, and evaluators.
• Prepare and present classroom, demonstration, and practical-application instruction and maintain applicable Programs of Instruction and course materials.
• Achieve and maintain operator/evaluator qualification and currency on assigned MARSOC Precision Strike systems as required.
• Provide operator/SME support to exercises, assessments, demonstrations, development efforts, TTP events, and operational-support activities.
• Support development, assessment, review, and refinement of Precision Strike concepts of employment, TTPs, training requirements, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct and teach organizational-level maintenance and support readiness, inventory, storage, issue, sustainment, and accountability of assigned systems and ancillary equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to MARSOC, USMC, and USSOCOM development and evaluation efforts.
• Support authorized coordination with industry partners to shape system and component refinement and spiral development.
• Provide SETA-level technical analysis, staff support, and briefings as required.
• Maintain required safety, range, driver, security, and mission-specific certifications.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position and contract as assigned by ABSI management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree, current enrollment in a degree program, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous SOF or comparable operational experience with precision strike, loitering munitions, unmanned lethal systems, weapons employment, or closely related capabilities.
• Ability to achieve and maintain required MARSOC operator/evaluator qualifications on assigned Precision Strike systems.
• Demonstrated instructor, public-speaking, and briefing capability appropriate for experienced operators and officers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Range Safety Officer, Laser Safety Officer, and 4x4 driver certifications, as applicable.
• Maintain an active U.S. TOP SECRET and NATO TOP SECRET clearance prior to and throughout performance; remain eligible for TOP SECRET//SCI access when required by the mission.
• Maintain required MARSOC, USMC, USSOCOM, security, information assurance, facility-access, and annual mandatory training requirements.
• Comply with contractor identification, ethics, security, privacy, nondisclosure, and non-personal-services requirements applicable to performance on Government sites.
• Possess strong written and oral English communication, customer-service, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and the ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required by the contract.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current qualification or operational experience with Switchblade, HERO-series, Rogue 1, Spike NLOS, micro-VTOL attack systems, or comparable systems.
• Previous MARSOC, USSOCOM Component, USMC, or SOF staff/operational experience.
• Experience with TTP development, operational assessment, weapons integration, or rapid capability development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
