Superior Walls of Upstate New York Inc in Lima, NY is seeking a skilled Steel Plant Fabricator to join the Maintenance Department. The role focuses on welding, fabricating, repairing steel forms, and maintaining production components used in precast concrete wall systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding, metal fabrication, and equipment repair.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with maintenance and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forms and components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using measuring tools.
• Verify measurements meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to fabricate or repair components.
• Cut, grind, bend, shape, and weld steel and other materials using fabrication equipment and hand tools.
• Heat and manipulate materials with hand torches to achieve proper fit and alignment.
• Develop templates and standardized processes for repetitive fabrication tasks to improve consistency.
