Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years plus soldering/assembly experience.
• Capable of soldering/desoldering of SMD and through-hole components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Proficient with use of hand tools.
• Experience with PC board assembly.
• Hand soldering skills for small PCB based assemblies.
• Good reading of electrical/mechanical blueprints.
• Understand basic ESD handling requirements.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs soldering, building wire and cable assemblies and other assembly operations.
• Maintains and operates soldering equipment.
• Performs intermediate assembly tasks as required.
• Simple mechanical fabrication and assembly using hand tools.
• Conduct / monitor experiments on high voltage, high power devices.
• Assembles electro-mechanical components from work orders and drawings.
• Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance.
• Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
• Use word processing and spreadsheet software for documentation.
• Mark and tag components for stock tracking.
• Wire systems and cabinets from schematics with minimal supervision.
• Prepare components for installation, forming and bending leads.
• Operate microscopes, scales, gauges, and crimping equipment.
