Job summary

MACOM is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician 1 (SMT) to support high-precision assembly in a cleanroom. The role focuses on SMT equipment operation, AOI and X-Ray inspection, and meticulous documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in microelectronics, hands-on SMT experience, and familiarity with IPC-610 standards. This on-site position in Nashua requires strong English skills and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SMT/SMT assembly experience in microelectronics.
• Experience with AOI, X-Ray inspection, and microscope-based work.
• Knowledge of IPC-610 quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment per work instructions.
• Inspect assemblies using AOI, X-Ray, and microscopes to ensure quality.
• Handle and assemble miniature components with precision; interpret microcircuit layouts.
• Maintain production documentation and support engineering builds and process improvements.
• Adhere to ESD, cleanroom, and 6S standards; work in a high-mix environment.
