Job summary

Interstate-Packagin is seeking a Slitter/Rewind Operator responsible for set-up and operation of the assigned machine, ensuring accuracy and quality of produced material. The role includes training new employees and adhering to all safety and quality policies in a fast-paced production environment.

The successful candidate will read production orders, perform quality checks, and maintain clean rewinder areas while communicating effectively with supervisors and management.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience required.
• Detail oriented and quality conscious.
• Color vision required; must not be colorblind.
• Able to lift 50-70 pounds and stand long periods.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Read and understand job jackets/orders.
• Establish and follow quality checking procedures.
• Communicate with supervisor and shift/management.
• Clean up and complete jobs per procedures.
• Maintain line clearance and rewind area cleanliness.
• Record information electronically as required by accounting.
• Adhere to GMPs and quality policies.
