Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a detail-oriented operator to inspect and rewind printing jobs, ensure compliance with customer specifications, and support the production line. The role includes setting up slitter units, splicing rolls, calibrating counters, and packing finished work with proper labeling and documentation.

The candidate should have basic PC literacy, be able to read and communicate in English, and be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment with overtime and varying shifts

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Must pass a mechanical test or demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and rewind each job for quality and compliance to customer specifications.
• Calibrates counters and visually inspects labels for defects.
• Splices rolls together and sets up slitter units.
• Slits down jobs and packs completed work.
• Produces core/shipper labels, Certificate of Compliance, and packing list.
