Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading work orders, production schedules, and measuring devices accurately.
• Basic math and measuring skills for tolerances.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience or familiarity with slitting equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork reliably.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust slitting machines to spec.
• Review work orders for material, dimensions, quantities, and customer requirements.
• Measure and inspect finished products for quality and tolerances.
• Load and unload large rolls using forklifts or hoists as authorized.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust to minimize waste and maintain quality.
• Identify and report malfunctions, defects, or quality concerns to supervision.
• Replace blades and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Label, package, and prepare products for next stage or shipment.
• Maintain production records and quality documentation.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout when applicable.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.
