Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Production Associate in Kentucky for the 1st shift. You will learn to maintain sharp cutting tools and perform precision cuts on carcass to achieve the desired yield, while preparing the area with required equipment as part of a safety-first production team.

Responsibilities include monitoring the area, performing tasks around machinery and chemicals, and adhering to food safety policies and company rules. Training lasts 2–3 months before fully independent work.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
• Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
• Must clean up area at end of production shift, including sweeping and picking up debris.
• Must work in temperatures at or below 35°F and stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sharp tools to perform job tasks correctly.
• Perform precision cuts to carcass to achieve desired yield.
• Set up area with all needed equipment and monitor production area for debris.
• Follow safety, food safety, and company policies.
• Complete cycles quickly and efficiently as directed by leads and supervisors.
