Job summary

Adron Tool in Sussex, Wisconsin, is seeking a Conventional EDM Operator to join its precision machining team. You will operate sinker EDM machines, set up tooling, and work to tight specifications on complex parts.

You will adjust parameters, inspect with CMMs, and collaborate with the shop to maintain quality, safety, and on-time delivery while supporting tooling development and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
• Experience operating sinker EDM machines to produce complex metal parts according to specifications.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work with precision measuring tools such as CMMs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sinker EDM machines with precision to produce complex metal parts according to detailed specifications.
• Adjust machine parameters and tooling setups to optimize cutting performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Inspect finished components using a precision CMM, measuring devices, and visual checks to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot EDM equipment, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to plan production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet delivery deadlines.
• Assist in the development and modification of tooling fixtures for improved machining efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper handling of power tools, hand tools, and warehouse equipment such as forklifts.
