Starflex Fabrication seeks an experienced Quality Technician to join the shop floor team, focusing on sheet metal fabrication. You will read prints, inspect parts, identify issues, and collaborate with production to correct them.

The role covers laser cutting, forming, welding, hardware installation, and powder coating, with emphasis on first-piece, in-process, and final inspections and strict record-keeping.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication quality inspection.
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement.
• Able to interpret dimensional tolerances and weld symbols.
• Detail-oriented with accurate documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and records.

Aufgaben

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections against drawings, specifications, and router requirements.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, hole locations, bend angles, hardware placement, and assembly fit.
• Inspect welded assemblies for dimensional accuracy, weld location, weld size, and workmanship issues.
• Check powder-coated parts for finish quality and coating requirements.
• Record inspection results clearly and maintain traceable quality records.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming material, document discrepancies, and communicate issues.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor calibration status of measuring equipment and report out-of-calibration items.
• Work with production, engineering, and quality to resolve problems and prevent defects.
