The role focuses on setting up and operating press brake equipment to form high-precision components, reading blueprints, and selecting tooling to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine part requirements.
• Operate press brake machines to form precision sheet metal components.
• Set up tooling and machine parameters for accurate bends.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections and adjust as needed.
• Experience with CNC press brakes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to form precision sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Select and install appropriate punches, dies, and tooling.
• Set machine parameters including bend angles, back gauge positions, and tonnage.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision tools.
• Perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications, report issues.
