Job summary

Senneca Holdings seeks an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our Houston manufacturing team. You will operate and maintain press brake machines to bend metal components per precise specifications, ensuring high-quality doors and related parts that meet our standards.

The role requires interpreting blueprints, adjusting settings, performing quality inspections, and maintaining records while adhering to safety protocols and teamwork with engineers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal workpieces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machine settings and material requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings, including backstops, ram depth, and pressure, to ensure precision bending and forming.
  • Perform quality checks on completed workpieces, measuring dimensions and angles to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, and output.
