Job summary

Rittal LLC in Urbana, OH is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift to set up, run and monitor machinery that fabricates sheet metal and enclosure components. You will follow production schedules, use measuring tools, and maintain quality while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
Prior experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with brake press, CNC or similar equipment is a plus.
Familiarity with hand tools, measurement tools and basic mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor machinery to produce sheet metal and enclosure components.
Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet daily output goals.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure product quality.
Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machines to ensure safe operation.
Inspect parts for defects and verify conformance to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area per 6-S and safety standards.
Complete required documentation and labeling of parts and materials.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
