Rittal LLC in Urbana, OH is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and monitor sheet metal and enclosure components. You will follow production schedules, use hand and power tools, and maintain quality with basic measurements and documentation.

Requirements include the ability to stand, lift 25-50 lbs, and follow English instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior metal fabrication experience is a plus, with safety gear and PPE provided.

Qualifications

  • Standing/walking required; ability to lift 25-50 lb.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools.
  • Experience operating machinery in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of brake press/CNC or metal fabrication equipment is a plus.
  • Computer literacy with Outlook/Excel/Word is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor machinery to produce sheet metal and enclosure components.
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet daily output goals.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure quality.
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machines for safe operation.
  • Inspect parts for defects and verify conformance to specifications.
  • Complete required documentation and labeling of parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
