Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator to prepare, fabricate, and cut metal products for assembly using presses, shears, saws, and lathes. This role involves working daily on equipment that prepares steel for power packaging units and moving materials with a forklift.

Lay out, inspect, and assemble components to meet specifications and schedules. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring precision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing or construction experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating a press brake or shear preferred.
• Experience driving and operating a forklift desired.
• Experience with a roll table is a plus.
• Must be highly detail- and quality-oriented with precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to ensure specifications are met.
• Assemble lifts, position, and remove pieces from machinery.
• Set up and operate specialized equipment for fabrication of stainless sheet metal products.
• Install, align, and lock punches, dies, or fixtures using hand tools.
• Study shop drawings, blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine materials, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Clean and lubricate the machines.
• Cross-train in welding and metalworking techniques when appropriate.
