Job summary

Electroswitch Machine Corporation in Rockland is seeking an experienced Automatic Screw Machine Setup Operator to perform complete setups, operate Brown & Sharpe screw machines, and manufacture high-volume precision components.

The role requires hands-on experience with Brown & Sharpe machines, tooling selection, precision measurement, blueprint interpretation, and in-process inspection.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Brown & Sharpe screw machines and in-process inspection.
• Ability to read blueprints and select proper tooling for each job.
• Strong measuring and tool maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups and operate Brown & Sharpe automatic screw machines to manufacture precision components according to blueprints.
• Select and install cams, turret tooling, collet dogs and other machine components required for each job.
• Set up thread rollers and operate LIPE automatic bar-feed equipment.
• Review schedules and work orders to determine job priorities and machine requirements.
• Maintain and sharpen form tools, drills, and other tooling as needed.
• Produce first-piece samples and conduct in-process inspections to ensure blueprint tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify parts and document results.
