Job summary

Bearon Manufacturing LLC is seeking a skilled Screw Machinist Set-up Operator in Landisville, PA to ensure Davenport screw machines run to exact blueprints. You will perform comprehensive setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to produce precision parts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through hands-on experience or technical training.
• Hands-on setup experience with Davenport or other multi-spindle screw machines preferred.
• Experience in high-volume metal manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Ability to read basic engineering blueprints or schematics.
• Stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 40–50 lbs (assistance for heavy lifts).
• Great attitude, strong work ethic, and attendance record are essential.

Responsibilities

• Expert machine setup and tooling changes on Davenport screw machines to meet exact specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
• Follow manufacturing processes and document part inspections.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to rotating assignments.
