Job summary

Electroswitch Machine Corporation seeks an experienced Automatic Screw Machine Setup Operator for its Rockland facility. You will perform full machine setups, operate Brown & Sharpe screw machines, and troubleshoot to produce high-volume precision parts.

The role requires hands-on experience with machine tooling selection, precision measurement, and in-process inspection, with a focus on maintaining tolerances and quality throughout production.

Qualifications

• Experience with Brown & Sharpe automatic screw machines and precision components.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Experience setting up machines, selecting cams and tooling, and performing process checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups and operate Brown & Sharpe screw machines to meet specifications.
• Select and install cams, turret tooling, collet dogs, and gearing for each job.
• Set up thread rollers and operate LIPE bar-feed equipment.
• Review schedules and Kanban cards to determine priorities.
• Inspect first pieces and perform in-process measurements to ensure tolerances.
• Maintain tooling, document setups and SPC data, and ensure safe, clean work area.
• Diagnose machine issues, perform routine repairs, and move parts to next operation.
