Job summary

Shade Innovations in Austin, TX is seeking a Chop Shop Technician (Saw Operator) to read work orders, configure stops, operate industrial saws, and cut metal components to exact lengths on-site.

This hands-on role requires basic math, accurate measurement with a tape measure, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. NetSuite training is provided, and production records are maintained daily. Starting schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (4 days/week).

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

• Ability to read and follow work orders and production documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and lookup.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate the saw machine safely and efficiently.
• Set stops and guides to the specified lengths for each job.
• Cut metals precisely to meet production specifications.
• Monitor output for defects and quality issues.
• Read and interpret work orders and complete paperwork.
• Use measurement tools to verify cut lengths.
• Log production activity and use NetSuite for reference (training provided).
