Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator I in Haleyville, AL to set up and operate a single-blade saw according to schedule. You will read production sheets, select materials, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, documenting production records, assisting with basic maintenance, and adhering to LOTO and safety procedures. Requires HS diploma or GED and at least 3 months saw experience or related manufacturing work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 months of experience using saws or similar equipment; manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operates single-blade saw according to setup and schedule.
• Reads production scheduling sheets to identify required material.
• Ensures material meets quality specifications and standards.
• Follows safety procedures and quality guidelines, including LOTO when required.
