Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Saw Operator I to set up and operate a single-blade saw. You will read production schedules and identify required material, feed material, perform setups, and ensure the operation meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating saws or similar equipment (minimum 3 months).
• Working knowledge of basic mathematics used in manufacturing.
• Preference for experience in manufacturing/assembling environments.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a single-blade saw according to specifications.
• Reads production scheduling sheets to identify required material.
• Feeds material and performs setups as specified.
• Checks equipment and ensures safety and quality standards are met.
• Maintains clean and organized work area and production records.
• Performs preventive maintenance and participates in safety programs.
