Job summary

Emerald Resource Group is seeking a dependable Machine/Saw Operator in Nova, OH to set up and operate horizontal and vertical saws, read blueprints, and cut materials to exact specifications while maintaining safety and quality.

You will measure with tape, use calipers, perform basic maintenance, keep records, and work with the production team to meet daily goals. Previous manufacturing or saw experience is preferred; on-the-job training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal and vertical saws according to work orders and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production drawings.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance.
• Load and unload raw materials safely using material handling equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.
• Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production goals.
