Metals USA is seeking a Saw Operator to join our York, PA facility for the 3rd shift. You will position work pieces for processing, operate a single point cutting machine, and grind to specification, using gauges and rulers for precise measurement.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting speeds/feeds, and performing in-process quality inspections. Candidates should have basic English reading/writing skills, at least 1 year of machine operation, and experience with overhead cranes and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading and writing in English to read work orders, safety and policy manuals.
• Minimum one year of experience as a machine operator.
• Experience operating an overhead crane and forklift.
• Ability to read blueprints and determine material, tool requirements, and tolerances.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Position work pieces for processing and operate a single point machine to cut, saw and grind.
• Use gauges, calipers and rulers to measure and verify dimensions.
• Program machine from standard drawing files and adjust speeds/feeds.
• Operate overhead crane and install/align blades and fixtures.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections on finished pieces.
• Follow safety policies, wear PPE and maintain attendance.
