Job summary

Chemtrade in Richmond, CA seeks a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Technician to diagnose mechanical issues and perform precision repairs for safe, reliable plant operation. The role includes day shifts with overtime and call-outs, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities include tank openings, welding, pump and gearbox repair, alignment, piping work, and completing all maintenance documentation per SOPs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or chemical environment
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools, CMMS, and email
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, O&M instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturers’ literature, and schematics/diagrams
• Availability for periodic off-shift emergency call-outs, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and at height while wearing PPE

Responsibilities

• Tank vessel openings and cleanouts
• Certified welding, cutting, and burning
• Pump, gearbox, and motor repair
• Coupling and sheave alignment for mechanical power transmission
• Piping and valve replacements
• General plant upkeep and maintenance
• Emergency response team participation
• Complete work orders and all maintenance/safety/PM documentation in accordance with SOPs
