Job summary

Amsted Rail in Petersburg, VA seeks a Roller Operator to run and maintain a grinding line, producing precision metal parts in line with company standards. You will monitor equipment, measure parts, and adjust processes to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs repeatedly.
• Pre-employment drug & background screening required.
• Able to stand and move throughout the shift.
• Experience with grinding or metalworking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a grinding line to produce precision parts.
• Measure dimensions with gauges to ensure specifications.
• Monitor machines for abnormal sounds or vibrations and adjust as needed.
• Assist setup with changing over work lines and attachments.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and equipment checks.
• Operate forklift to move part bins and materials.
