Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group in Utah is seeking a Rewind Operator for the 1st shift (7:00AM - 3:00PM). You will operate a rewind machine to convert large press rolls into smaller customer rolls per job specifications, verify core IDs, and inspect quality before boxing for shipping. A high school diploma and at least 1 year of machine operation experience are required.

Ability to stay organized and manage multiple labels daily.

Responsibilities

Review job tickets and set up rewind machine (blades, cores, copy position).
Operate rewind machine to break large rolls into finished customer rolls.
Check labels and rolls for quality and consistency; visually inspect with supervisor sign-off.
Perform splices by taping two rolls of the same product together and verify product IDs.
Verify core IDs and ensure correct placement inside/outside rolls; match IDs to boxes.
Place finished rolls in the correct area for shipping or stock; communicate issues to supervisor.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with Fortis policies and safety regulations.
Additional duties as required.
